A GROUP OF TWO CHINESE EXPORT ARMORIAL PORCELAIN SALT CELLARS FOR THE EUROPEAN MARKET WITH POLYCHROME ENAMEL AND GILT DECORATION, JINGDEZHEN, CHINA, CIRCA 1770, one of lobed oval shape centering a Hungarian patriarchal cross crown above an oval medallion within beribboned swag on a tapered lobed base painted with flower bloom sprays, and the other example of rectangular form with canted corners centering a crown over an oval medallion with a rampant lion holding a fruit within bellflowers and foliate scrolls, on a tapered conforming base with maroon painted flower sprays.
