A FRENCH LOUIS XV STYLE KINGWOOD PARQUETRY INLAID GILT BRONZE MOUNTED BUREAU PLAT WITH TOOLED LEATHER TOP, CIRCA 1900-1920, the rectangular gilt bronze framed top with radiating diagonal cut veneer centering gilt tooled cognac colored leather surface, raised on cabriole legs with full chute mounts, with bleached oak diamond pattern parquetry ground, with kingwood recessed locking drawer flanked by projecting shaped drawers, the back with three matching faux drawer fronts, and mounted with large gilt bronze satyr masks. In overall fair to good condition with significant losses to gilt finish, separation between frame and gilt bronze border, overall surface rubbing and wear commensurate with age and use.
