A FRENCH LOUIS XVI STYLE GILT AND COMPOSITION CUSHION MIRROR, LATE 19TH CENTURY, the pierced leafy crest within scrolling leaf and flower bloom details flanked by leaf carved corners, with a rectangular twisted beribboned and flower bloom carved outer frame, having a cushion set central wide beveled rectangular mirrored plate within a gadrooned edge frame joined by eight cabochon and scroll decorated supports. Height: 66" Width: 42 1/8" Depth: 1"

Condition:
There is some cracking noted intermittently to the composition. The crest has an apparent repair and later gilt paint application and some minor losses at the corners and scrolling elements of the crest. The mirrored plates have some aging, otherwise in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
