A GROUP OF FIVE CHINESE CARVED SOAPSTONE SEALS, each of an ochre colored soapstone and set on a polychrome silk wrapped cardboard stand, comprising one pair modeled as resting dragons with bodies tucked under their spread wings and chin supported by a pearl, above stylized scrolling waves, on block form pedestals with underside centering character marks in shallow relief, height: 2 5/8"; a pair of Buddhistic lionesses frolicking with their playful cubs, on rectangular pedestal blocks with underside on one centering incised character marks and the other archaistic style character marks in relief, height: 2 1/2"; a single one of shaped rectangular obelisk form and front centering a leafy bamboo stalk in shallow relief, height: 2 1/2".
