A GROUP OF FIVE GERMAN AND FRENCH PAINTED PORCELAINS, UNDERGLAZE BLUE MARKS, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, comprising a Meissen figure of a grafter, underglaze blue crossed swords mark, incised, "F69," impressed, "122," wearing a lavender waistcoat over a gilt vest and striped knee britches, while splicing a new branch (now lacking) to a tree stump with reserve buds kept on his black hat below, modeled standing on circular stylized groundwork with conforming gilt highlighted key frieze, height: 7"; a pair of small Carl Thieme Potschappel vases, colorfully painted and floral encrusted on bombé sides and reticulated shoulders, flanked by foliate modeled loop handles, above sides centering courting couples within heart shaped blossoming frames, reversing to similarly framed flower bouquets, raised on a circular socle of gilt relief scrolling details and sprays, surmounted by conforming pierced lids with nicely detailed floral finials, each underside having underglaze blue "T" above "X" mark, height: 7"; a French small figure of a cherub as an allegory of fine arts, seated on stylized rockwork while holding a paintbrush and palette, underside having underglaze blue and incised crossed pitch forks mark, impressed "326," possibly marks of Daudin & Laner, Paris, height: 5 1/4"; a French figure of a maiden beauty with billowing hair, wearing a flowering spray painted draping robe, encrusted with blooms and a white dove on her shoulder, standing on a circular flower encrusted stylized rockwork base, raised on a conforming plinth with "C" scrolls and paired cherubs, underside having underglaze blue and incised crossed pitch forks mark, impressed, "195," possibly by Daudin & Laner, Paris, height: 8 1/2". NOTE: The Meissen "Grafter," is modeled after M.V. Acier and J.C. Schonheit, based on drawings by J.E. Schenau and is often paired with the maiden flower "Gardener."

Condition:
Meissen figure lacking new branch, tiny chip on underside of waistcoat, his right hand possibly professionally restored. Pair of vases have some tiny petal and leaf chips throughout and surface buildup. The French figures appear to be in good shape with expected surface buildup throughout.
