Lot 72
A GROUP OF THREE VINTAGE GLASS PERFUME BOTTLES, FOR LUCIEN LELONG, CIRCA 1936-1950, each designed by the perfumer himself, Lucien Lelong (French 1889-1958), comprising an "Indiscret" frosted and clear glass flacon, circa 1936, the cylindrical holding chamber fabricated to appear wrapped in draping fabric, topped by an upright bow shaped stopper over the corded collar, the underside of the flared foot molded "Bottle Made In France," height: 5"; an "Indiscret" humorous Art Deco Ting-A-Ling perfume bottle, circa 1949, bulbous clear glass chamber situated between matching circular gilt base and screw cap, waisted by a gilt belt suspending six equally spaced jingle bells, silvered paper label naming the scent affixed below the collar, retaining original perfume, height: 2"; an unopened "Cachet" Art Nouveau baluster form bottle, circa 1948, embellished all over in frosted foliage on a clear glass ground, the gold corded collar topped by a conforming forged flame shaped stopper, the cuffed and splayed foot reversing to a gold metallic paper label "Parfums Lucien Lelong - Paris" enclosing "Made In/France/Cachet/Net Cont./2fl oz" framed by molded "Lucien Lelong Paris" over "Made In France," height: 7 1/2".
- Condition: Each flacon in good condition, with no apparent major chips or cracks. The "Indiscret" flacon with bow stopper is lacking a paper label and has been emptied of original perfume. The Ting-A-Ling bottle also missing the label that is supposed to be affixed to base. There is also a small area of gilt loss, and the foot appears to have been repaired, possibly reattached to the rest of the flacon, as there are traces of glue. The Ting-A-Ling bottle retains the original "Indiscret" perfume. As mentioned, the "Cachet" bottle has never been opened. The cording is completely secure, although the fragrance within appears to have soured, as it separates into various bright green/white/light green hues. Each bottle clearly and correctly marked.
