A GROUP OF TWO NATIVE AMERICAN PRE-COLUMBIAN BLACK SLIP PAINTED BROWNWARE AND RED/ORANGEWARE OLLAS, with everted rims, the largest brownware example likely dating from the Honanki-Tuzigoot period AD 1150-1400, and probably originating with the Southern Sinagua people of Arizona, height: 4 1/2", width: 5 1/2"; the smaller redware example likely dating from the Pueblos I-III periods AD 750-1300, and probably originating with the Anasazi people inhabiting Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico, smallest: height: 4", diameter: 5" NOTE: See "Verde Brown Olla" in the collection of Tuzigoot National Monument Visitor Center.

Condition:
Losses to the black slip paint, some small chips to the exteriors, wear to the glossy finish, and some noted surface scratches, otherwise in very good condition. One containing teeth.
