A JAPANESE FOUR PANEL WATERCOLOR AND INK PAINTED SCREEN WITH WOVEN BORDER, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, composed of four watercolor and ink scroll paintings on paper of a carp in water, a flying bird, a monkey in a tree, and a figure of a sage seated on the ground, each with unidentified artist's cypher, framed with gold flecked paper within woven gilt fabric band and outer woven blue and silver fabric border, the whole within stained wood frame with metal mounts and printed paper backing. Height: 68 1/2" Width: 101" Depth: 3/4"

In overall fair condition with discoloration to paper, fading and areas of damage to backing.
