A JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD AESTHETIC STYLE CARVED AND INLAYED WOOD HANGING SHELF WITH APPLIED MIXED METAL DECORATION, LATE 19TH CENTURY, with dark stain and carved crane over two door projecting cabinet and open shelves with reticulated scrolled border, the red patinated copper doors framed by gilt scrolls, with applied copper, gilt metal, and silvered leaves, pot, and quiver, over open shelf with patinated copper panel with partial gilt parquetry decoration and partial gilt bronze bird and leaves, with silvered and copper floral and fruit mounts, over projecting drawer with patinated copper ground framed by gilt scrolls. In overall fair condition with losses to applied mixed metal elements, heavy rubbing and losses to stained wood frame, cracking to drawer front. hanging brackets broken.
