A LOUIS PHILIPPE PERIOD CARVED OAK AND WALNUT BONNETIÈRE, MID 19TH CENTURY, PROBABLY FRENCH, the curved corner cavetto carved and molded cornice over an incised carved bead and floral medallion frieze, above a single door with a scrolled iron escutcheon and short acorn end finial iron fiche hinges with two 18th century applied neoclassical relief carved figural panels centering a double roundel medallion and leaf carved arched shape skirt. Condition:
There are some areas with mildly consistent exposure to woodworm, some chips and losses to the carving intermittently throughout with occasional wood fill repairs, cracking to one leg, some humidity exposure and cracks to various panels, and the shelves a later addition, otherwise in very good stable condition, wear commensurate with age.
