A MEISSEN PAINTED PORCELAIN ALLEGORICAL GEOGRAPHY GROUP, UNDERGLAZE BLUE MARK, 19TH CENTURY, modeled as three scantily robed cherubs utilizing various attributes of geography, centering a neoclassical style table surmounted by a celestial globe, raised on stylized rockwork and a conforming plinth with ribbon bound oak leaf trim above a frieze of Vitruvian scroll, reversing to an underside with the underglaze blue crossed sword mark. Height: 7 3/4" Width: 7 1/2" Depth: 4 3/4"

  • Condition: Professionally restored over 20 years ago. It has been suggested that this group is early 19th century and painted at a later date.
