A MEXICAN REVOLUTION PERIOD HANDWRITTEN DOCUMENT, JULY 31, 1913, A LETTER, ATTRIBUTED TO VENUSTIANO CARRANZA (1859-1920) WHILE ON A CAMPAIGN, with letterhead printed upper left, "Correspondencia Particular del Primer Jefe del Ejército Constitucionalista," and appears to be correspondence to Emilio Salinas indicating a receipt for packages. The author comments on the lack of passageway in Torreon and resistance to independence plaguing Piedras Negras until control is gained by the Constitutionalists. He ends by assuring his future communications to come with his family, salutations of good health, and a reminder of affection, signed in pencil. Height: 11" Width: 8 1/2" NOTE: The letter is written in ink. The signature is in pencil with a later phrase below, suggesting it was likely dictated to a secretary, and then later signed.
