A NAPOLEON I SILVER SUGAR SIFTER SPOON, WITH ARMORIAL ENGRAVING, FRENCH, 1809-1819,
.950 fineness silver with French first standard silver mark and a later inventory mark dating to 1819, terminal with fiddle thread and engraved old cross flanked by two lions armorial with a crown crest; length: 8 1/4", bowl width: 2 5/8", approximate weight: 93 grams.

  • Provenance: Collection of Katherine Pitcher, Leonardtown, Maryland; Estate of Wayne Cox, Galveston, Texas.
  • Condition: A small, well-executed repair hidden in the piercing of the bowl, surface scratches and wear from use.
