A PAIR OF DIMINUTIVE EMPIRE REVIVAL GILT BRONZE THREE LIGHT CANDELABRAS, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, each with a reeded columnar stem and a fruiting floral cast capital, surmounted by an ivy banded vasiform nozzle centering acanthus wrapped reeded arms issuing scrolling foliate blossoming branches and ending in stylized urn detailed nozzles surrounding a central dripping wax covered faux candlestick supporting an electrical two-light fitting, raised on a conforming domed base enclosing paired swans flanking a jardiniere "en bateau" interspersed with classical two handled urns trimmed in leafy stemmed florets in shallow relief, fitted for electricity, height: 15 5/8"; with electrical fitting, height: 26 3/4".
- Condition: Some gilt areas are slightly worn from handling, surface buildup, minor marks and small scratches, both dripping wax covered faux candlesticks have lost small areas of wax, both have one arm repaired, both have wiring cut.
