A PAIR OF LOUIS XV STYLE EBONIZED WALNUT FAUTEUILS FAUTEUILS À LA REINE, PROBABLY SECOND FRENCH EMPIRE, NAPOLEON III, CIRCA 1870, the "C" scroll and flower bloom carved arched crestrail within scrolling tendrils and leafy flourishes, above a shield form back, over bowed seats, now in créme chinoiserie needlepoint upholstery, within padded acanthus leaf carved arms ending in scrolled terminals with cabochon medallion ends, on leafy carved cabriole legs with acanthus and cabochon carved feet, terminating in wood casters. Condition:
There are a few mild chips to the outermost carving, some rubbing to the lacquer, and some mild staining to the upholstery, but otherwise in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
