A PAIR OF LOUIS XV STYLE MARQUETRY INLAID ROSEWOOD POUDREUSES, LATE 19TH CENTURY, PROBABLY FRENCH, the quadruple bookmatched shaped lids centering an inlaid scrolling flower bloom and tendril flourish, lifts open to an interior rectangular mirror above interior storage, above two serpentine, line inlaid drawers, flanked by chevron inlaid side panels, and chamfered inlaid stiles, raised on cabriole legs, terminating in ormolu mounted feet. Condition:
There are various losses of veneer throughout, some losses and damage to the finish due to possible exposure to moisture, mostly on tops, some surface scratches and general wear throughout, but otherwise in fair to good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
