A PAIR OF MEISSEN STYLE "SCHNEEBALLEN" COVERED PORCELAIN VASES, RETAILED BY CARTIER, FRENCH, EARLY 20TH CENTURY, of baluster form with allover applied blue and white blossoms with yellow stamens, the cover with polychrome enamel decorated cast and applied parrot on branch, the sides with colorful cast birds and flowering cherry branches, and with gilt rim, marked with interlaced L's and "CARTIER." Condition:
In overall good condition, one vase with crack to the side, chip to cover edge of one vase, chip to cover edge and restored crack to parrot tail in the other example, minor losses to applied blossoms.
