  • Provenance: Collection of Mark A. Chapman, Fayetteville, Texas.
  • Notes: Painter of Spanish origin, known as "the painter of silence", Francisco Bajen lived mainly in France, where he moved into exile during the Spanish Civil War. In 1999, the city of Monestiés inaugurated the Bajen-Véga Museum, which exhibits nearly 150 works by the couple formed by the artist and his wife, also an artist and Spanish, the late Martine Véga.
