TWO CHINESE EXPORT CARVED WALNUT MARBLE TOP PLANT STANDS, PROBABLY LATE QING DYNASTY, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, each with inset circular peach and violet figured marble tops, one with painted characters underneath, the tallest example has a scroll and pomelo fruit carved skirt, and the ebonized example has relief carved clouds and scrolling tendrils centering a lotus flower, with carved flower bloom knees, all on tapered legs terminating in claw and ball feet. Height: 20 1/2" Diameter: 15 1/2"

Condition:
There are some cracks and breaks near the joints, some apparent repairs, water exposure on the finish of the tops, and some surface scratches, scuffs and abrasions throughout, but mostly near the feet, but otherwise in fair to good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
