TWO CONTINENTAL CAST METAL LION PLAQUES, POSSIBLY ENGLISH, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY, each modeled in half for wall mounting and comprising a polished brass profile armorial lion with front paws resting on a scrolled device, raised on a short rectangular waisted pedestal with the cavetto centering a "C" scrolled armorial shield above a conforming molded plinth, height: 15", width: 9 7/8"; together with a cast iron lion plaque modeled in a recumbent position, height: 14", width: 22".
- Condition: Each in relatively good shape, with normal casting flaws, minor surface marks, small scratches and the cast iron plaque has areas of oxidation throughout as well as old flaking paint, drilled hole just past mane.
