A CHINESE POLYCHROME AND BLACK INK PAINTED SCROLL, 20TH CENTURY, the rectangular light brown tinted woven panel centering two conversing noblewomen wearing phoenix and floral cluster headdresses on elaborate chignon hairstyles, above serene expressions and wearing traditional long robes with elaborately detailed shawl collars, served by two maiden attendants with one holding a small tray of bird eggs and a bottle form refreshment, while the other pours from a ewer, beneath a top right corner of eight rows of black ink character mark inscriptions and two rectangular archaistic style red seal stamps, opposite a top left double gourd form red seal stamp, above three lower left rectangular red seal stamps, opposite a lower right corner with a single red square seal stamp, within later bone white silk damask borders. Height: 55" Width: 29 3/4"
