A LOUIS XIII STYLE CARVED WALNUT FAUTEUIL À LA REINE, CIRCA 1830, PROBABLY FRANCE, from the Louis Philippe period, the rectangular upholstered back over a square upholstered seat within two serpentine arms leading to scrolled terminals on vasiform turned supports and to block and ring turned legs on turned feet joined by a vasiform turned tapered front stretcher and a lower like turned "H" form stretcher, in red and gold foliate upholstery with matching silk gimp trim and floriform head nails. Height: 41" Width: 23 1/2" Depth: 27"

Condition:
There are some cracks throughout the wood, as well as old repairs, wood fill areas, some losses to the stretchers, and a noted exposure to woodworm. Overall in fair to good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
