AN ARCHAIC STYLE BRONZE FANG DING FORM SACRIFICIAL VESSEL, IN THE SHANG DYNASTY STYLE, the flat rectangular rim over wide bisected sides, the top reserve with ancient symbols on a scrolled relief ground, above a lower ground with swirling relief waves, in the Japanese style, within dentil flared stiles, and flanked by two integral relief dragon mask handles. Condition:
There is a heavy greenish colored patina throughout, now lacking original legs and lid, some paint splatter, one apparent repair at a side, and one interior peg is loosened, and another is now lacking, otherwise in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
